IPs editing?
For the longest time, the main page has said that this is a Metroid wiki that "anyone can edit." But everytime I've tried to edit as an IP, it says only users can edit. == Random Tabbed Templates? ==

Just a thought: We currently use a Tabbed Template for our Featured Articles and Featured Pictures. The latest Tabs are toggled to display by default. Is there a way to set the default displayed Tab to be a random tab? I'm getting a little sick of seeing Quadraxis down there everyday. =\ We get the best of both worlds that way: a random feature on the page per visit, and the ability to toggle through features. Thoughts on pros/cons of this idea and plausibility? 00:34, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Until we implement a permanent solution for the Remember Me? section (as currently being discussed at the Discussion Center), I want to suggest turning that area into, basically, a "To-Do List" with links to important categories, like Stubs, Inadequate Images, Articles Lacking Images, etc. It'd be a place to make editors aware of current projects and give them access to things that need doing on the front page. If no one objects I'll throw something together in the next couple days. 05:07, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Active editors and Metroid fans. On the main navigation bar of the main page there is room for 8 categories, which are alreay filled up with 'Games', 'Enemies', 'Spacecrafts' etc: Which categories do you guys think should be there? Ones that are significant to Metroid and are coming along strongly here at the wiki would be the obvious choices. 23:11, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
:Do you have a suggested colour? -- Prod (talk) 19:42, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

:Most of the categories on the main page sound good, I would recommend replacing the Power Suit category with the Suits category though. I'd also recommend the weapons category for the main page. Metroidking 23:17, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Maybe like a light yellowy orange, like the color of Samus’s regular beam in the beginning of Super Metroid.

The bar near the top of Zelda Wiki's main page that links to all the different games in the series gave me this idea; I think it'd be pretty helpful here, as well. I already have images that could work for it; if you want, I can make a preliminary version and we can see how it looks. PeanutLord 14:12, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
:We're trying to make something like that too. Our first attempt did not go so well. I don't remember the order we were going to put the games in, but if you want to make a preliminary version here, that would be great. Here are the images to use: :File:M1template.png (Metroid)
:File:M2template.png ((Metroid II: Return of Samus)
:File:M3template.png (Super Metroid)
:File:M4template.png (Metroid Fusion)
:File:M5template.png (Metroid: Zero Mission)
:File:MOMtemplate.png (Metroid: Other M}
:File:M6template.png (Metroid Prime)
:File:M7template.png (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)
:File:M8template.png (Metroid Prime Hunters)
:File:M9template.png (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption)
For now, just put it in the order of those images. :::How does that look? I stopped at Fusion because the rest of the images have a bunch of blank space around them, and I'm not sure how I can work around that just yet. Can I make some suggestions for the ones I already have up, though? One of the things that makes working with them difficult is that none of them are a perfect circle or a uniform size, which is going to make the final version of the navigation bar look a bit unorganized. May I upload images for the games that I've already made for this purpose? You don't have to use them in the final version of the bar, but I think they'd be at least helpful for ironing out the problems with it. Just a thought: We currently use a Tabbed Template for our Featured Articles and Featured Pictures. The latest Tabs are toggled to display by default.
