Not to be Selfish, but

Could you promote me to Sysop? It looks like you and Nathan are the only ones that could edit Policy pages and whatnot, including the Main Page. I'll help out with that, along with other things to get the wiki going. In the meantime, I'll also be uploading images and creating Metroid articles(which I have done so with many images/articles so far). Also, don't take this as a greedy request to be promoted or anything; my intents are only to help in getting the wiki standing on four legs. Userpages

Does this new wiki lack the special thing which keeps userpages off of the wanted pages? Because if it doesn't, I'd suggest getting it ASAP :PNeo 01:58, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

From ZeldaWiki

I found out about this site via ZeldaWiki and I decide to pitch in my sadly my knowledge of Metroid is limited (this, however, should change as I have just started the Metroid Prime Trilogy) As I create pages here on metroidwiki, I know there is information I cannot supply, so should I mark them as a stub or something? If so, how do I do this. Thanks and I am looking forward to extending my knowledge of both Metroid and Wikis in general. p.s-On Zelda WIki when you are editing, below the edit box is a box so you can easily access symbols that are not on a keyboard. Will this site eventually get one? Again, I know its new so im just putting it out there... -User:Sephiner Shaeld

Hey, Sephiner Shaeld. Firstly, new sections on talk pages go at the bottom, and you need to end your posts with ~~~~, so I know who you are and when the message was posted. As for the box of symbols under the edit box, that is on my list of things to do. As for the stub pages, you can mark them as stubs by placing {{stub}} at the top of the article. haha it's cool, it wasn't important or anything. Hey admins hardly get on here, so could you help me move Metroid manga to Metroid Manga, it's been bugging me for the longest time. Hey, Melchizedek!! I've seen the news article about the Staff jobs, and am sort of, requesting for an Administrator job of some sort. I'm just a frequent editor on this site, and if I'm not mistaken, am the top one here. This doesn't allow me to access the Metroid Wiki base with no real problems whatsoever, but it is my ambition to help the site as much as I can. I would like to join the Metroid Wiki staff. I have contributed plenty and helped others stay on track to help this Wiki grow past 200 articles. I'm more experienced with content than with wiki technology, although I do know a fair amount of wiki code. Thanks for your requests. Glad to see the enthusiasm. What is the best way of communication for you two? Would you prefer e-mail or instant messaging? Skype is what our network uses primarily for staff contact, so is preferrered, but I can go MSN, AIM or e-mails for the time being if necessary. Not a problem. After all, Metroid Wiki is just a hobby, so its understandable when life gets in the way. Hence those two months I was away. :) As for Skype, I'll add you now. Metroid Wiki just uses the instant messaging feature, so voice chatting and video chatting with other staff is something at your discretion if you choose to do so. Hey Drake. First off, to leave your signature just type ~~~~ at the end of your post. I am sorry to say that at this stage Metroid Wiki has adequate staff to fulfill all of the necessary duties. As we grow the need may arise for more staff. So in the meantime I implore you to continue editing, show your dedication to the community and develop your understanding of wiki operations.
