Evir An Evir from Metroid Fusion

Evirs are aquatic creatures native to Zebes. They have a hard outer shell, with a weak chest. In Super Metroid, they are green in appearance and usually are seen floating down a sand current in Maridia. They can be frozen for use as platforms, but once they sink into the sand, they cannot be interacted with. Even in the sand, they are able to fire projectiles. They are also seen floating around before the battle with Draygon, and they carry it away afterward. It is theorized that Draygon is a mature Evir. In Metroid Fusion, the X mimicked the aquatic Evir in Sector 4 (AQA). These Evir are orange in appearance and fire projectiles that rotate around it.

Trivia

• There is a glitch in Metroid Fusion involving an Evir that allows Samus to stand on nothing.
