When something enters their territory, they swoop down and explode on contact with their target. Shriekbats appear as small insect-like creatures with blade shaped wings, a single red eye on their head, two small mandibles, and two small legs that they use to hold onto cave ceilings. On the planet [[Aether]] Shriekbats are shaped like discs, with several glowing orange eyes and what appear to be like tails. There are several different sub species of Shriekbat including [[Ice Shriekbat|Ice]], [[Bryyonian Shriekbat|Bryyonian]], [[Urtagian Shriekbat|Urtagian]], [[Elysian Shriekbat|Elysian]], and [[Phazon Shriekbat|Phazon]] Shriekbats.
