History

After the events of Metroid/Metroid: Zero Mission, Ridley was revived as Meta Ridley. The Space Pirates resuscitated his mortally damaged body, enhancing him with mechanical infusions and an array of weapons systems, including a missile system, plasma cannon, and plasma bombs. Meta Ridley was then to go to the Frigate Orpheon to finish repairs, at least, until disaster struck.

Meta Ridley in Metroid Prime

Meta Ridley was completing his final upgrades in the Frigate Orpheon when 2 out of 3 Parasite Queens busted out of their containment module's and began to ravage the Frigate Orpheon apart. One of the Parasite Queens went into the evacuation room and the Space Pirates were able to destroy it. The second one went to the Reactor core of the ship. Samus came because of a distress beacon and killed the final Parasite Queen and then met Meta Ridley at last. Meta Ridley finally was able to escape the Frigate Orpheon, and Samus followed... Meta Ridley wasn't seen until Phendrana Drifts and he was seen heading towards Phazon Mines. Finally after Samus got the 12 Chozo Artifactss and was about to enter the Impact Crater, suddenly Meta Ridley attacked. Samus defeated him and Meta Ridley was hit by a laser beam from the Artifact Temple statues and fell to his death, or so it seemed...

Meta Ridley in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Meta Ridley was revived after that fall and was re-equiped with the same systems and given Phazite Armor. Meta Ridley was seen attacking Norion and was first seen attacking a platoon of Galactic Federation Marines. Next Samus had to face him while in Morph Ball and used Bombs to shake him off. Then she had to go to Generator C where Meta Riley attacked. They engaged in an epic free fall battle. Samus defeated him and he fell to his death but was revived as Omega Ridley.
