The Aerie is a room in Sanctuary Fortress in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

Description

The Aerie is the highest point in the Sanctuary Fortress and one of the highest points on Aether itself. It only accessible by a long elevator from the Fortress below. It has a large Spider Ball track in the center and the Echo Visor (originally worn by A-Kul) on a ledge at the top. It offers a stunning view of Aether in the distance. It also contains a Portal to Dark Aether.
