A Blue Door is a door from the Metroid and Metroid Prime series. They appear in every Metroid game except Metroid II: Return of Samus. They are by far the most common door, as they require no special weaponry to activate; a single blast of energy will open any of them. They are commonly placed over passages in order to block unwarranted company.

Appearances

Metroid/Zero Mission

In Metroid and its remake, Metroid: Zero Mission, Blue Doors serve to block access to most rooms. The most convenient way to open them is with the Power Beam, but Missiles will open them.

Metroid Prime

In Metroid Prime, Blue Doors occur quite commonly, This game includes Blast Shields that require Missiles to be blown off; underneath is a standard Blue Door.
