The Emperor Ing is eldest and most powerful Ing in the Horde.
The Emperor Ing is eldest and most powerful Ing in the Horde, likely the first Ing. It resides in the Sky Temple guarding its Energy Controller from which it is siphoning energy. Like other Ing, it is a metamorph and Samus battles it in multiple form.. When defeated, Samus can take the last of Dark Aether's planetary energy.

Forms
Its first form is stationary, with tentacles protruding from its head. In this form, it well usually use melee attacks as well as firing a ball of dark energy. If the tentacles are destroyed, its eye will emerge. In this form it can fire energy beams. It is covered with a shield with two gaps that Samus can exploit.
Like other Ing, the Emperor Ing is a metamorph; it molds itself around Dark Aether's final Energy Controller to siphon power from it.

First Form
After it has taken enough damage, it will form a shell to shield itself while it heals but it is littered with weaknesses. It will generate tentacles in these weak points to knock Samus away from them. Samus can either drop bombs near the tentacles to destroy them or use Power Bombs to destroy multiple tentacles at once..
The first form of the Emperor Ing that Samus encounters is stationary. It attacks by swinging its tentacles around, channeling Dark Energy through them to throw an energy ball, and it is capable of firing a sustained beam of energy from its eye.

To defeat it Samus must damage its tentacles forcing them to retract, then damage its eye when it is vulnerable.
After the shell is destroyed, the Emperor Ing will emerge in a form similar in appear to a Warrior Ing. Like Warrior Ing, it can fire transdimensional energy beams, but unlike Warrior Ing, it can fire multiple beams simultaneously. It is also capable of firing a sustained blast of the Light Beam or Dark Beam. It covers its weak points with barriers that can be damaged with a beam of the opposite polarity or the Annihilator Beam.

Chrysalis
After sustaining heavy damage, the Emperor Ing will form a protective shell in an attempt to heal itself. As a defensive measure, it fills the room with a toxic gas.

The shell is magnetically charged and has multiple weak points. To break through it, Samus must use the Spider Ball to situate herself near the vulnerable areas. The Emperor Ing will use its tentacles to knock Samus off. Before one appears Samus may drop bombs directly onto it, destroying the tentacle and damaging the vulnerability. Alternatively, Samus may situate herself between multiple vulnerabilities and drop Power Bombs to destroy several tentacles at once.

Mutated Emperor Ing
After undergoing further Phazon mutation, the Emperor Ing will emerge from the chrysalis in a form similar in appearance to a Warrior Ing. It has a protective barriers covering its vulnerabilities. After Samus has damaged a barrier enough, it will weaken and become vulnerable to a beam of opposite polarity. Alternatively, Samus may use the Annihilator Beam instead of the Light or Dark Beams to weaken it no matter which polarity a barrier has.

Once Samus has killed the Emperor Ing, she can absorb the final Energy Controller causing Dark Aether to collapse.

Abilities
The Emperor Ing has multiple abilities not present in other Ing.

*Tentacles: As well as firing Dark Energy balls, the Emperor Ing is also capable of creating interdimensional rifts that it may use to make the tentacles appear anywhere in its sanctum.

*Energy Beams
**While in its stationary form, it may fire a sustained energy beam from its eye
**Similar to a Warrior Ing, the Emperor Ing can fire transdimensional energy beams; but unlike a Warrior Ing, the Emperor Ing may fire multiple beams simultaneously
**It may fire sustained bursts of both Light or Dark energy

*Similar to the Jump Guardian, it is capable of creating shock waves when it lands but with a larger radius.

*It is capable of spawning swarms of Nightbarbs as well as an unnamed Light creature.
