Federation Solar System
The Federation Solar System is located in the Kalandor Region, in the periphery of Federation Space. In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Samus visits three planets in the system. The three planets play a significant role for the Federation. Bryyo is the largest known source of Fuel Gel, which is used to power most spacecrafts used by the Federation. 20 years prior to the events or Corruption, piracy had become so common that the Federation was forced to establish a base in the system and take Bryyo into its custody.
The Federation has established a military base on the planet Norion. Formerly a barren and inhospitable orb, the planet has been terraformed to enable humans to live there. The planet Elysia served as an outpost of the Chozo civilization, a member of the Federation. At the time of Corruption, the civilization had long ago vanished.
