It is the final charge combo in Metroid Prime, rendering it the most powerful combo in the game. It takes up ten Missiles upon activation and five missiles per second thereafter. Unlike the Plasma Beam itself, which seems to shoot a beam of lava, the Flamethrower sprays a continuous line of fire, igniting the enemy and causing massive amounts of damage. It is very useful against the Omega Pirate.

Trivia

  • A "Flamethrower" appears in Super Smash Bros., although Metroid Prime was not released until three years later.
