'Frigate Orpheon' is a Space Pirate vessel that stores much data from many native to Planet Zebes. Samus is sent there after she recieves a distress signal from its remaining crew. The Parasites escaped from their cells, killing much of the crew. Samus infiltrated the disaster, only to confront a Parasite Queen that fell into the ship's reactor and caused it to crash, Samus barely escaping. She lost all of her upgrades in an explosion in one of the elevators.
The Second Visit
After Samus obtains the Gravity Suit in Phendrana Drifts, she is able to explore the now downed Orpheon.
