Gamma Metroids are Metroids which have hatched from their familiar infant eggs, and gone through the alpha stage of their life. Gamma Metroids are the second in a series of Metroid evolution including Alpha Metroids, Gamma Metroids, Zeta Metroids and [[Omega Metroid]]s.
Gamma Metroids are [[Metroid (species)|Metroids]] which have grown past their [[Alpha Metroid]] form. They are followed by [[Zeta Metroid|Zeta Metroids]], [[Omega Metroid|Omega Metroids]], and, if the Metroid has the proper genetic coding, [[Queen Metroid|Queen Metroids]].
