The Main Plaza is a room in the Chozo Ruins. The room has two halves, one of which has two levels. Samus first enters the room from the Ruins Entrance in the southern bottom part. This part has a door to the Ruined Shrine Access on the left covered by a Missile Shield. A number of Beetles inhabit the center of this part. These Beetles will be replaced later by a Plated Beetle. Around the center of the room is a small Half Pipe which leads to a Missile Expansion. A well timed jump with the Space Jump Boots can also lead to the expansion. The upper part of the southern half consists of a wlkway on the eastern and western walls. The northen half of the eastern walkway is accessible from the northern half of the room, and it leads to the Ruined Fountain Access. The southern part of this walkway is only accessible by entering through the Piston Tunnel. There is a Grapple Point here that leads to the western walkway which has another Missile Expansion. There is also a tall decaying tree in this part which has a weak point that can be destroyed with a Super Missile to reveal another Missile Expansion. The northern half of this room is relatively empty. The Nursery Access is on the left. An Energy Tank is located on a ledge on the right, but it can only be obtained by entering through the Plaza Access.
