A tool-assisted speedrun (TAS) is the act of using a program or bot to optimally play a video game.[1]
The TAS are bots or hacks that make the user who uses them not have to handle anything since the hack makes the character move alone and perfectly, the TAS is strictly prohibited for speedruns, However, it can be used at any time if it is not for speedruns, but the TAS does it in such an extreme way that it corrupts the game and still completes it, the clearest example of that is Super Metroid in which sometimes the TAS use the X-Ray Scope while using the Shinespark which as we all know that is impossible, but as the TAS achieves it the textures of the game get corrupted and sometimes it goes from place in the air.
