Armored Space Pirate Militia are Pirate Militia that have been granted use of battle armor akin to that of the Armored Pirate Trooper.[1] The armor was first put into commission before the Phazon takeover of the Space Pirates prior to the events of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The armor is resistant to most Beam attacks, but can be ruptured with explosive attacks such as Missiles.[1] The Hyper Beam can do quick work of the Troopers as well. The armor cannot be pulled off with the Grapple Lasso, unlike the Space Pirate's portable shields, because the armor wraps around the entire subject's body. Armor is grated to the Militia as a reward for not achievement, but survival.[1]

Logbook

Logbook entry from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption: Armored Pirate Militia
Members of the Armored Pirate Militia have been granted lightweight armorsuits for combat use. While this provides some additional resistance to Beam weapons, they are still vulnerable to explosive attacks. Members of the Armored Pirate Militia are mostly inept soldiers who have yet to die in combat.[1]
