The Alpha Splinter is the leader of the Splinters. He is larger and faster than other Splinters. He attacks by rapidly lunging towards his targets. Samus encounters it in the Great Temple after she has killed the Dark Splinters, though it is quickly possessed by an Ing wielding the Energy Transfer Module wishing to drain Aether's final Energy Controller.[1]
Dark Alpha Splinter
The Dark Alpha Splinter gains the ability to fire bursts of dark energy after possession. The Dark Alpha Splinter is faster and stronger than the Alpha Splinter, but unlike the Alpha Splinter, he will lunge directly at Samus.[2]
