Final Energy Controller

The Emperor Ing is eldest and most powerful Ing in the Horde. It resides in the Sky Temple guarding its Energy Controller from which it is siphoning energy.[1] Like other Ing, it is a metamorph and Samus battles it in multiple forms.[2] When defeated, Samus can take the last of Dark Aether's planetary energy.

Emperor Ing's first form

Its first form is stationary, with tentacles protruding from its head. In this form, it well usually use melee attacks as well as firing a ball of dark energy. If the tentacles are destroyed, its eye will emerge.[2] In this form it can fire energy beams. It is covered with a shield with two gaps that Samus can exploit.[3]

After it has taken enough damage, it will form a shell to shield itself while it heals but it is littered with weaknesses. It will generate tentacles in these weak points to knock Samus away from them. Samus can either drop bombs near the tentacles to destroy them or use Power Bombs to destroy multiple tentacles at once.[4]

Emperor Ing's Chrysalis

After the shell is destroyed, the Emperor Ing will emerge in a form similar in appear to a Warrior Ing. Like Warrior Ing, it can fire transdimensional energy beams, but unlike Warrior Ing, it can fire multiple beams simultaneously. It is also capable of firing a sustained blast of the Light Beam or Dark Beam. It covers its weak points with barriers that can be damaged with a beam of the opposite polarity or the Annihilator Beam.[5]
