Ridley-X, or Neo Ridley, is the X embodiment of Ridley. It is created after an X attaches itself to and replicates Ridley's frozen carcass that was left behind from Metroid: Other M when Ridley was attacked by the Queen Metroid. After the X flees when Samus enters the room, Ridley's frozen carcass shatters. It is found in the B.S.L Research Station's Sector 1 (SRX). Ridley-X shows little difference from the original Ridley, even in terms of attacks since the X can also absorb the host's memories. Similar to previous appearances, the most effective weapon against him is charged Plasma Beam shots. Defeating Ridley-X rewards Samus with the Screw Attack.
