Quads are Luminoth built machines that were originally used to combat the Ing; but as with other machines, they were turned against their creators by the Ing. They are separated into a Main Body and a Command Module, both are capable of operating individually.[1][2]
The Main Body attacks with melee attacks such as slashing and are also capable of spinning at a high rate to deflect most attacks. The Command Module, capable of generating shields to protect itself, uses energy based attacks.[1] They Main Body is more armored and less susceptible to weapons fire, but vulnerable when venting heat.[2] While connected, Quads can fire a sustained beam of energy.
