The Reactor Core of the crashed Frigate Orpheon is a large flooded chamber on the Tallon Overworld. If Samus visits the Reactor Core prior to her acquisition of the Gravity Suit, she can find Aqua Reapers and a Jelzap inhabiting it. However after its acquisition, the Reactor Core is inhabited solely by Aqua Pirates.

During Samus's first visit, the door leading to the Reactor Access has lost its power, forcing her to energize the energize the power conduits in the Reactor Core to progress further into the sunken frigate.
