A Save Station as seen in Metroid: Zero Mission

Save Stations, or Navigation Booths in Metroid: Other M, allow Samus to record her progress and allow her an area to restart from if she is killed. They were first featured in Metroid II.

Properties

The Save Stations in Metroid II, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid: Zero Mission only save Samus's progress. The Save Stations in the Metroid Prime series and Metroid: Other M recharge Samus's energy as well as save her progress; Save Stations aboard the Space Pirate Mother Ship in Metroid: Zero Mission have a similar function but recharge Samus's ammunition as well. Samus's Gunship can be used as a Save Station in the Metroid Prime series. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption records the number of times Samus has saved the game, creating a challenge to complete the game with a minimal amount of saves.
