The Hyper Grapple is the final Hypermode upgrade in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is obtained after defeating Omega Ridley in the Pirate Homeworld's Leviathan. Surprisingly, the upgrade is only used for leaving the boss area, opening the path to the wormhole to Phaaze, and one part of the planet itself. After this, the weapon is only a standard Grapple Voltage, rendering it useless. On planet Phaaze itself, however, the Hyper grapple is incredibly useful, as contrary to the Grapple Voltage's normal modus operandi of "Taking in energy" to heal, you can expel Phazon into your enemies, countering the constant accumulation of Phazon that results simply by being on planet Phaaze.
