The Phaz-Ing is a "wall-crawling shape-shifters" found in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Because the Phaz-Ing's bodies are weak to physical stress, they stay in liquid form as much as possible, shifting to ther more vulnerable form only to attack with bursts of Phazon. They are capable of moving over any terrain. While they can be defeated with regular beam weapons, the Grapple Lasso is the most effective weapon against them, and Samus can siphon energy from them with the Grapple Voltage and Hyper Grapple, which is useful for lowering her Phazon levels on Phaaze.
