Power Troopers are Space Pirates featured in Metroid Prime. Unlike standard Pirates, Power Troopers are equipped with a weaker variant version of the Power Beam that was reverse engineered to use against Samus along with the Wave Beam, Ice Beam, and Plasma Beam.[1] A design flaw renders Power Troopers vulnerable to the Power Beam.[2] Power Troopers are found only in the Phazon Mines, mostly on patrols. They are among the Pirates that the Omega Pirate summons for reinforcements.
