Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is the final game in the Metroid Prime series, and is the sequel to Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Corruption was released for the Wii in 2007.

Story continuity

Corruption takes place some time after the events of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Corruption opens by following the story of Dark Samus after her defeat on Aether. After the events of Corruption, Samus is ordered to eradicate the Metroid population on the planet of SR-388, this story is told in the 1991 Game Boy title Metroid II: Return of Samus.
