Assault Shield Trooper
Assault Shield Space Pirate Troopers are Assault Pirate Troopers that are equipped with energy shields akin to those of Shield Pirate Troopers and other members of the Space Pirate Organization. The portable shields are invulnerable to most Beam fire, but is vulnerable to Missile and Phazon attacks.[1]With beam-resistant shields combined with missile-resistant armor adds up to almost impenetrable defense. The Grapple Lasso can rip off the Trooper's shield, and the Grapple Voltage or Hyper Grapple can drain or overload its energy. the Assault Shield Trooper breaks free of a grapple faster than any other enemy in the game that can be grappled onto. As the best the Space Pirate Military has to offer, the extra defense can be a major factor in a battle.
