The Ship Grapple Beam, or Ship Grapple, is a Gunship upgrade in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It allows Samus's Gunship to lift large and heavy objects that are too big to be lifted by hand. The upgrade is obtained in the Galactic Federation landing site in Eastern SkyTown, Elysia. It is required to assemble the Theronian Bomb, which in turn is required to access the planet's Leviathan. The beam is useful in obtaining Upgrades, locating Suit Expansions, and acquiring Energy Cells.
