Wikitroid is an online encyclopedic wiki based on the Metroid series. It was created by a user known as Wikitroid[citation needed]. Around two weeks after Metroid Wiki's launch, a Wikitroid administrator suggested merging Metroid Wiki into Wikitroid.[4] The idea, however, was immediately and firmly turned down as Metroid Wiki was created under the policy to remain an independent website, that is not installed into a wiki farm.
