The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid video game console made by Nintendo and released in 2017. One Metroid game, Metroid Dread, has been released for the Switch. Additionally, Metroid Prime 4 is in development for the system, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which features Metroid content, was released in 2018.
The Nintendo Switch has received two revisions: the portable-only Nintendo Switch Lite in 2019, and the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, which features a larger, OLED display and was released alongside Metroid Dread on October 8, 2021.
