The Phazon Suit is a modification to the Power Suit which was created when the Omega Pirate fell on top of Samus and Phazon seeped into her suit. It is jet black in appearance and offers complete protection from Phazon. It is needed to obtain the Artifact of Newborn without taking damage. It is required to enter "Hyper-Mode" and obain the Hyper Beam to defeat the Metroid Prime.
