The Metroid series is a video game series that follows the adventures of Samus Aran as she goes throughout the universe defeating the Space Pirates. The Metroid series was created by Nintendo, and there is still no hint of nintendo or retro studios making any plans for a new metroid game, thus without nintendo saying otherwise it can be asumed that the series will most likley be discontinued.
