Biologic Space Labs, correctly abbreviated B.S.L, is an organization tasked with Galactic Federation research and development. Their only known research facility is the Biologic Space Labs Research Station orbiting SR388. However it is assumed that their headquarters is placed elsewhere, likely within a Federation base.

The B.S.L's true intentions seem to be creating powerful, biological weapons for Federation use, much like Bottle Ship researchers. This is shown by their orders given to Adam Malkovich passed on to Samus Aran. Particularly their orders nearing the end of Metroid Fusion, telling Samus to escape the B.S.L Station rather than destroy it and the existence of the Restricted Laboratory. A secret message reveals that Biologic Space Labs does indeed have unknown intentions.
