Mochtroids are cloned Metroids featured in Super Metroid. They reside in Maridia. Mochtroids are capable of draining energy, but they cannot latch onto their prey, and their bodies are much frailer than other Metroids, allowing Samus to easily defeat them.[1] They can be killed instantly with the Grapple Beam. They are the first evidence of the Space Pirate Metroid cloning effort that Samus encounters.
