Omega Ridley is a form that Ridley took after his defeat on Norion. Omega Ridley has only appeared in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Samus fights Omega Ridley as the boss guarding the Pirate Homeworld's Leviathan. The reward for defeating him is the Hyper Grapple.
Samus Battles Omega Ridley
Omega Ridley is battled only once by Samus. His attacks are much more powerful than those of his predecessor, Meta Ridley, although since Meta Ridley was falling down a shaft during his fight, this cannot be proven true. Omega Ridley is a large creature that is marked as a massive threat by Samus's radar. He has a mechanized body which is powered by Phazon. Omega Ridley is assumed to be corrupted by Phazon. His weaknesses are his usual mouth, which can be attacked only as Omega Ridley attacks from his mouth, and his chest, which can be ripped open using the Grapple Lasso after he is stunned and has fallen on the ground.
After Omega Ridley is defeated, Samus can destroy the Leviathan core, and, in effect, the Leviathan seed.

Trivia
- Omega Ridley may be the largest boss Samus has ever fought, along with Kraid, Quadraxis, Flaahgra, Omega Pirate, Mogenar, and Amorbis.
- Omega Ridley has the honor of being the only single creature that shows up on Samus's radar as more than one creature in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
- One interesting thing to note is that although Omega Ridley was destroyed, Ridley returns in Super Metroid, which is chronologically after Corruption
