Torvus Bog

Torvus Bog is a swampy area on the planet Aether. It was once a forest, but the impact of a Leviathan caused it to flood.[1] Torvus Bog was the second Luminoth domain to fall to the Ing after the Energy Transfer Module was stolen.[2]
Torvus is separated into a swampy overworld and a flooded subterranean section. The overworld is home to a variety of small creatures such as Krocuss, though it is also home to large predators such as the Grenchler. The subterranean portion is home to a large amount of aggressive Bloggs.
Samus visits Torvus Bog shortly after returning the Light of Aether to the Energy Controller in Agon Wastes. The large amounts of water here slow her movement until she acquires the Gravity Boost. Along with the native creatures, Samus encounters Space Pirates on multiple occasions.
Trivia
- The overworld theme of Torvus Bog is a remix of one of the themes of Brinstar in Super Metroid.

The skies burned for days, casting darkness over the land." —Luminoth Lore (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)
