The Darkburst is the Charge Combo for the Dark Beam in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

The Darkburst requires 5 Missiles and 30 Dark Ammo, and will travel at slow velocity in the form of a compact orb until it impacts something. Upon impact, the orb will expand and create a rift to another dimension, pulling any nearby enemies into it with devastating consequences. Smaller enemies are usually drawn into the void and killed, while stronger creatures are only badly damaged by the blast.

Like the Sunburst, fast moving targets can evade it.
