Leviathans are the cause of massive Phazon spreads in Tallon IV, Aether/Dark Aether and less severe Phazon spreads in Bryyo, Elysia, Norion and the Space Pirate Homeworld. Leviathans are most important in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, considering that Samus's main missions are to destroy the different planets' invading Leviathans.
