Sector 2 (TRO) is one of the six sectors aboard the B.S.L Research Station. This sector has a tropical climate houses a large variety of creatures.
Samus first visits TRO in order to download the data for the Bombs. Shortly after they are acquired, she battles Zazabi and acquires the Hi-Jump Boots allowing her to leave the sector.
Samus later visits TRO while investigating the source of the roots that were cutting off power to the station. There, she is attacked by an SA-X and forced to flee. After defeating Nettori, the source of the roots, Samus acquires the Plasma Beam.
