The Ice Spreader is the Ice Beam's Charge Combo in Metroid Prime. It uses ten Missiles and fires a homing blast. Similarly to the Ice Missile, its target will be encased with ice, though the Ice Spreader can freeze multiple enemies. When it hits a ground based enemy, a sheet of ice will spread out from the blast, freezing anything in its path. However if the target is an aerial enemy, no additional enemies will freeze.
The Ice Spreader is found in Magmoor Caverns.
If Samus uses the Ice Spreader against Metroid Prime, she can encase it in ice giving her an opportunity to damage it further without it attacking.

Trivia
- Whether it was a design error or not, the Ice Spreader's ice sheet travels in all directions from it's point of impact in all 3 dimensions. If fired near a hatch, the shot will encase the entire local area in ice on both sides of the door, indicating the ice somehow travels through the wall.
