The Luminoth J-Stl was one of the ten Keybearers sent to collect the Sky Temple Keys. He is called "noble" by A-Kul.[1] His mate, B-Stl, was also a Keybearer, and briefly outlived him.[2]

He was ambushed by the Ing in the Central Mining Station of Agon Wastes and killed. When Samus travels to the Battleground of Dark Agon Wastes, she recovers his key and avenges his death.
