Metroid Prime Remastered is a remastered version of Metroid Prime that was released for the Nintendo Switch in 2023. It was announced during a Nintendo Direct on February 8, 2023[1] and released digitally the same day, with a physical version released on February 22, 2023 in North America and on March 3, 2023 in other regions. it it based on the Metroid prime trilogy version of the game released on the Wii.
Metroid Prime Remastered features updated models, textures, audio, and controls.
New features
Graphics and textures
The game see a graphical upscale from 480p to 1080p in docked mode, while 720p in handheld mode. Most textures have been redone to look better with the increased resolution. Along with this, most models have a higher poly count and are more detailed.
Controls
Metroid Prime Remastered features four control options: a modern dual-analog option, one based on the control setup from the original Nintendo GameCube version, one based on the control setup from the Wii version, and a hybrid setup that combines elements of the GameCube and Wii setups.
Difficulty options
A Casual difficulty mode, which reduces the amount of damage taken, was introduced.
Bonus content
In addition to concept art from the original game, concept art from the remaster, a Soundtrack Gallery, and a 3D Character Gallery can be unlocked.
