Pillbugs are creatures found in small caverns. They do not pose a large threat, but Pillbugs will cause damage if their path is obstructed. Their shell protects them from most attacks, but Samus can use her Bombs to stun the then drop more bombs to destroy them.

A possessed Pillbug, called the Spider Guardian, protects the Spider Ball upgrade.
