The Ingstorm is a swarm of tiny Ing found in Dark Agon Wastes, the Ing Hive, and the Sky Temple Grounds of Dark Aether in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. They are capable of creating a destructive energy that is capable of destroying most alloys (and presumably most other types of molecules) over time. Samus can only avoid damage if she has the Light Suit, which repels and destroys the particles.
