Natural Habitat(s)

Lumites are moth like creatures that appear in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. They are capable of photosynthesis and, when in light, are capable of invisibility. Like other invisible targets, Samus can lock onto Lumites with the Dark Visor. While out of light, they fire projectiles to defend themselves, but in light, Lumites can fire bursts of energy.

Samus first encounters Lumites in Agon Wastes, then later in Dark Agon. They are one of the few light creatures that can survive in Dark Aether.

Logbook

Logbook entry from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: Lumite
First Location: Agon Wastes - Plaza Access
Photosynthetic flying insectoid. Relatively harmless in shadows, powerful and invisible in the light. The Lumite thrives on light, and can render itself invisible to most predators while within it. When out of the light, the creature is relatively harmless, relying on a crudely spat chunk of biomatter to defend itself. Once in the light, it can channel large amounts of solar energy into a deadly blast.[1]
