Inglets are small, weak Ing, usually used by their ilk for menial labor. Their only form of defense is firing dark matter, and they will often travel in packs for safety. Like other Ing, they can cling onto nearly any surface. Samus encounters Inglets in nearly all areas she visits on Dark Aether, with the Sky Temple being the only exception. The Emperor Ing spawns Ing to assist it in battle, presumably Inglets, but since they remain in their amorphous forms it is impossible to be certain.[1]

Inglets are featured only in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, but a similar species with a similar model known as the Phaz-Ing is featured in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Logbook[edit | edit source]

Logbook entry from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: Inglet
Inglets perform the menial labor of the Horde, but can but pressed into a combat role if there is a need. They are amorphous blobs, capable of clinging to nearly any surface. Inglets can fire bursts of dark matter in self-defense, though they prefer to avoid battle. They seldom travel alone, and can be dangerous in large numbers. As with are Ings, they dislike bright light, and will avoid it if possible.[1]
