Phazon Grubs are the young form of Liquid Phazon,[1] which can spawn them in large amounts.[2] Later in their life, Phazon Grubs take their adult puddle forms.[1]

These creatures attack primarily by lunging at their prey. They also carry Phazon in their bodies and are immune to its mutagenic effects. Their bite, therefore, can infect victims with Phazon Corruption.

Logbook[edit | edit source]

Logbook entry from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption: Phazon Grub
Phazon Grubs are drawn to bioenergy in all forms, especially Phazon. They are immune to its mutagenic effects, and carry it in their bodies as they roam. Their bite can infect the victim with Phazon corruption, making them plague bearers of a sort.[3]

They exude a toxic chemical to protect themselves from predators. Contact with the substance can be deadly. They can alter their shape in a limited fashion, usually to avoid incoming attacks." —Logbook "Liquid Phazon" (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption)
