Infant Tallon Metroids are the infant form of the Tallon Metroids. They are only seen in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, although a similar creature appears in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Used by the Space Pirates as portable energy sources, these small creatures are relatively harmless and easy to transport in large numbers via organic "cocoons" designed to sustain them. However, the infants will emerge from their cocoons if they detect Phazon nearby; exposure to Phazon causes them to rapidly rapidly mature into deadly adult Tallon Metroids.

Logbook[edit | edit source]

Logbook entry from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: Infant Tallon Metroid
First Location: Agon Wastes - Biostorage Station
The Space Pirates use Infant Tallon Metroids as a portable energy source. Small in size, they are easy to transport in large quantities. They are docile efficient organic batteries... until they are exposed to Phazon. At that point, they grow rapidly and acquire their full array of powers.[1]
