Lift Crystals are devices used by the Luminoth to raise or lower platforms. Shooting them with a specific beam will cause the Crystals to change their polarity, raising or lowering the platform in the process. A Dark Lift Crystal can be manipulated with the Light Beam, while a Light Lift Crystal requires the Dark Beam. The Annihilator Beam cannot be used to manipulate Lift Crystals.

A similar Crystal, the Liftvine Crystal, was used by the Luminoth in conjunction with plantforms.
