A Luminoth Laser Emitter is a device used by the Luminoth to aim concentrated laser beams. Unlike Luminoth Laser Turrets, which fire limited bursts when activated, the laser emitters fire a constant beam. The only laser emitter Samus encounters is found in the Gathering Hall of Torvus Bog. It's aimed using a Spinner device,^[1] but the Spinner is in a state of Transdimensional Flux and can only be used on Dark Aether.^[2] When the Spinner on Dark Aether is used to align the laser with the hollow in the Luminoth Statue across the chamber, more platforms extend for access to other parts of the room. The laser emitter becomes locked in place once this occurs and cannot be aimed elsewhere.^[3]
