Luminoth Datapacs are used by the Luminoth to record lore; specifically, they were used by the ten Keybearers to store their final testaments.[1] Unlike Luminoth Lore Projectors, which are stationary and usually attached to a surface, Luminoth Datapacs are mobile and lightweight enough to be carried without hindrance by a single individual; furthermore, where Luminoth Lore Projectors often require an upgraded Translator Module to decode,[2] Samus is always capable of downloading data from Luminoth Datapacs.
